I am a high school senior, this year I took a class devoted to the study of the Holocaust. My teacher told me at the beginning of the year that this class would change me, and it has. I have read books, stidied documents, seen films, I have been to the Holocaust museum twice, participated in a remembrace service called Yom HaShoah, and met and listened to survivors. Yet still when I sit and think about what really happened, when I attempt to take it all in, I can't. Because it was that terrible. The numbers are breath taking, and the films and pictures will make your head swim and your stomach clench. Yet people survived to tell the story. We study history so we can see what our ancestors did, what they did right and what they did wrong, so that we don't make the same mistakes they did. We say 'Never again.' But if we don't know what happened, how can we say that? We must study the Holocaust, we must remember. The greatest thing we can do for those who died at the hands of the Nazis, and for those who survived, is remember, and never allow it to happen again.

The truth of the war is terrible, and to see the survivors to get back up and rebuild their lives is amazing. I've been doing a project for school about WWII and the facts are just un-real.

That is so sad what happen to the people that lived back in the days the holocaust happened. I just can't image all the things they had to go threw. Not being able to maintain a normale life, or not being able to see their family members,it is so deffical but i just can't image living like that. I just hope that is dosent come back and we have to deal with that cause i woulden't know what to do.

These stories were so touching I went to an Holocaust museum in my area. I met Holocaust survivors and actually learned a lot from them. They are such an inspiration for every race, creed, and color. I love the stories and they really touched my heart.

This event was so sad. I can't believe what happened. To see that people actually survived this horrible journey and acutally have younger Jewish generations is amazing. I hope to meet a survivor in person.

Wow this is really cool to learn about what people went through during the holocaust. But its uncool because its HORRIBLE,its horrible how Hitler and his Nazi army could do this to the Jews and it makes no sense. There wasnt even a reason for it. I just hope it doesnt happen again beccause hate didnt die with Hitler. Hitler just died with a lot of hate with him.

Wow. To be able to hear the stories of those who were actually there...those who actually suffered...is something I've never been lucky enough to experience until today. This is an amazing idea and wonderful project, so thank you. The Holocaust was an event that shaped word history and the lives and family histories of many--it should never be forgotten.

I actually went to this museum this past summer during a trip to D.C. I would encourage anyone who has never gone to definitely make the stop. But take a day or two to look and let it in soak in. It's like a wake-up call you'll never forget, because it feels personal. It's not a textbook telling you the number of deaths and the number of ways they died. It's you, walking through one of the train cars that people were crammed into like sardines. It's you, standing in a room with a real crematory from Auschwitz. You get to see it. You choose whether you believe it. And either way, you won't forget it. You get to see things first hand, which will make you feel responsible to not let this happen again. At least it did for me.

Next time you're in D.C., make the time for this museum. You won't regret it.

Again, thank you. Thank you so much.

I believe this was very wrong for anybody to go through that to survive. People should be treat equaly. No person is different from the other. People should not be treat badly because of their race, the way they look, sexualty or things like that. This is very hard for me to right this. Its hard for me to stop crying. I am gald that some jews survive so they can tell their stories what they had to do to survive. I want the jews to know don't be mad yourself be happy that you survived to see a better tomrrow. Jews i give you my blessings and my love for what you had to go through. I am only 14 years old. Love is what keeps you moving without you are nonhing. Jews may you all live in peace and harmney.
I will never forget you guys ever. You guys will always live in my heart. Say Hello to a new begining. Don't forget Love!!!!!
